Dissertation/Thesis defense- it is one of the most-frightened events in a student’s life. During the defense, you will stand in front of a panel of judges/teachers to present the summary of your work. Dissertation defense is your only chance to defend your work, explain it, and answer all the questions from the panel. Expect everything-from the best to the worst. Anything can happen in a defense and your presentation and answers will determine if you will pass or fail.
Obviously, you want to pass (who does not want, anyway?). Hence, before your defense day comes, it is important that you really have prepared for it.
So, how are you going to prepare for your dissertation defense?
First, ask your friend, classmate, or colleague to read your dissertation. Let him tell you his observations on your work.
Second, write the possible questions that the professors may ask you during the defense. Provide answers to these questions.
Third, practice. A few days before the defense, it will be good for you to practice your presentation- from the Powerpoint to the delivery of your report. Usually, the defense is time-limited; thus, you only have to tell the most important facts and details.
Fourth, prepare for your outfit. Your attire may not be the most important in your defense but your professors will be impressed if they will see you very professional.
Last but not the least, have enough rest or sleep before the day of defense. It is essential that you feel well and you do not have any illness or else it will be difficult for you to focus or speak if you are experiencing cold, flu, or any other types of illness.
Aforementioned are simple tips on how to prepare for your dissertation defense. Remember all of these and you will never ever get out of focus during the actual defense. Always remember that if you really want to enter the world of dissertation writing services, you have to pass your college dissertation.
